Your patent-office registrations
Creators only see you for the offices where Picela has verified your registration. For US filings by anyone living outside the US, a USPTO registration is required by law (since 20 July 2026).

How it works
Describe your invention
A guided form covers what the attorney needs: the problem, how it works, what's new, and drawings.
Get a fixed quote
Your chosen attorney reviews it and sends one price, what it includes, and when they'll file.
Pay into escrow
Accept the quote and pay. Picela holds the money while the attorney prepares and files.
Filed, then released
The attorney uploads the official filing receipt. You confirm and the fee is released.
The right routeTell us where you live and where you want to sell. We suggest a route (home office first, PCT, or straight to the US) and your practitioner confirms it.
Every deadline trackedA patent takes years. Your case keeps each stage, the 12-month and 30-month deadlines and US maintenance fees, and reminds you and your practitioner before each one.
ConfidentialOnly the attorney you choose and Picela admins can read your invention. Files are stored privately, never in public links.
Protected paymentIf the attorney doesn't file, open a dispute and Picela reviews it. Refunds come from escrow.
Registered practitionersOnly attorneys and agents whose patent-office registration Picela has checked are shown, for the office you file at.
